This is a recipe my mom was doing. I’d tends to say it taste like chinese ribs. Or maybe it’s only because my mom was preparing them in her electric wok. Who know!
The following is intended for one pound of ribs. If your ribs are still in a strip, seperate them.
In a wok, add
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 2 tablespoon of oil (canola)
- 3 teaspoon of freshly cruched garlic
Simmer until the mixture gets an oily texture
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoon of Soy Sauce.
Put the spare ribs in cold water and bring to a boil, then reduce to simmer for 30 minutes.
Transfer the ribs from the water to the sauce and cook until the meat falls off the bone.
